Dub techno as a style of techno that heavily employs delay and reverb effects. It is much lower in speed than techno and generally feels warmer.
Some artists in this genre call it "deep techno" or "drone techno". The technique of contemporary dub techno is only closely related to the 1970's process of recording tracks "dub reggae" style. Most dub techno artists do not credit it as a source of inspiration at all.
The roots of dub techno can be traced back to Basic Channel in 1990’s, other pioneers include Deepchord and Echospace.
